Metamorfishes takes a unique approach to highlighting the menace of marine pollution. Rather than thrusting dramatic, heart-rending images before us, artist Nicola Dennis presents us with subtly ironical and unignorable drawings, taking actual species as their base form. For each one, she incorporates an actual pollutant and its consequences – some realistic, to carry the factual point and some improbable, to add a touch of gentle humour.
